Looks like DICE has made use of its $100 million marketing budget. 1.5 million pre-orders definitively shows the interest in the game, however DICE has acknowledge that their sales numbers may drop when Modern Warfare 3 launches. I don’t think it really matters which sells more at launch, because this day and age it is all about replay-ability. I think Battlefield 3 will have it where it counts. It looks to be the most graphically impressive game since Crysis, and will stand the test of time.

EA has announced that Battlefield 3 will not be coming to Steam. I want to be pissed at EA so badly, but in this case I can’t.
